Celiac Cruise offers a 100% gluten-free environment on its AmaWaterways charters
AmaWaterways expanded its partnership with Celiac Cruise, a provider of gluten-free vacations.

The collaboration has already delivered cruises with 100% gluten-free vessels and experiences on the Danube and Seine.

Celiac Cruise has now become AmaWaterways' exclusive partner for all gluten-free river cruise groups and ship charters, according to Connie Saunders, owner of Total Travel and Events and co-founder of Celiac Cruise.

Travel advisors may now book clients

With this, Celiac Cruise is also offering travel advisors the opportunity to reserve their clients on dedicated AmaWaterways gluten-free voyages starting in 2025.

'The close collaboration with Celiac Cruise on full ship charters has been an enriching experience for our culinary teams who embraced the strict food handling and sourcing protocols and welcomed the challenge of creating delicious culinary experiences for guests with celiac disease,' said Kristin Karst, co-owner and EVP of AmaWaterways.

'The Celiac Cruise partnership represents a significant milestone in our journey toward a more inclusive and accessible world for individuals living with celiac disease, and we are very proud to play a small part in this journey.'

Through its work with ocean cruise lines and AmaWaterways over the past four years, Celiac Cruise has provided more than 5,000 passengers with the opportunity to experience safe, gluten-free travel around the world.

Three gluten-free river cruises

Celiac Cruise is offering three additional seven-night voyages with a 100% gluten-free environment.

The first is the Oct. 12 AmaViola Danube cruise between Vilshofen, Germany, and Budapest, starting with a gluten-free Oktoberfest party with traditional local entertainment accompanied by gluten-free beer and soft pretzels.

A Christmas market cruise Dec. 9 on the Rhine, from Basel, Switzerland, to Amsterdam is accepting names for a wait-list.

On May 1, 2025, a Bordeaux river cruise with included guided excursions to centuries-old chateaux and vineyards is available.
